City of Paris Dome/Nieman Marcus San Francisco

Since the 1970's, President and founder of A.T. Merovich & Associates, Inc., Andrew T. Merovich, has been active in the preservation of historic and older structures. Over his 30-year career, he has played a significant role in the development and implementation of engineering criteria that are used to assess the ability of archaic materials to respond to seismic demands.

The firm has pioneered the application of those criteria to protect numerous structures for future generations in an economical and minimally intrusive fashion. From this experience, A.T. Merovich & Associates, Inc. has learned that the keys to cost-effective value-added preservation lie in developing a thorough understanding of existing structures.

Reviewing archival documents, performing site visits and defining surgical exploratory demolition programs can help to define the intrinsic resistance of archaic building stock. Supplementing this resistance, a scope of improvements can be developed that maximizes the ability of the in-situ materials to perform acceptably with minimal alteration of the historic fabric.

A.T. Merovich & Associates, Inc. continues to evaluate and improve existing buildings for a range of clients and uses. To learn more about how the firm can help your efforts, please Contact Us.
