Building Preservation |
Since the 1970's, President and founder of A.T. Merovich & Associates, Inc., Andrew T. Merovich, has been active in the preservation of historic and older structures. Over his 30-year career, he has played a significant role in the development and implementation of engineering criteria that are used to assess the ability of archaic materials to respond to seismic demands. |
The firm has pioneered the application of those criteria to protect numerous structures for future generations in an economical and minimally intrusive fashion. From this experience, A.T. Merovich & Associates, Inc. has learned that the keys to cost-effective value-added preservation lie in developing a thorough understanding of existing structures. |
Reviewing archival documents, performing site visits and defining surgical exploratory demolition programs can help to define the intrinsic resistance of archaic building stock. Supplementing this resistance, a scope of improvements can be developed that maximizes the ability of the in-situ materials to perform acceptably with minimal alteration of the historic fabric. |
A.T. Merovich & Associates, Inc. continues to evaluate and improve existing buildings for a range of clients and uses. To learn more about how the firm can help your efforts, please Contact Us. |
